I am a fully qualified chartered physiotherapist with over thirteen years experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions in both humans and animals.

Animals have always been my passion and my particular area of expertise is equine and small animal rehabilitation.

I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP), The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) and as such I am subject to their professional regulations and bound by their code of conduct.

Why should I use a Chartered Physiotherapist?

A growing number of Chartered Physiotherapists now work with animals. Unlike the title 'Veterinary Surgeon', the title 'Animal or Veterinary Physiotherapist' is not protected. This means that anyone can call themselves an animal or veterinary physiotherapist regardless of their qualifications. The title 'Chartered Physiotherapist' is protected by law and can only be used by physiotherapists who have achieved a high level of academic and practical training in all aspects of physiotherapy and are consequently qualified and registered to practise.

For my small animal patients I work in clinic and have access to a hydrotherapy pool and underwater treadmill. I also do home visits to your animal where appropriate. For my equine patients I will visit your stables or your veterinary clinic. I work alongside the animal’s veterinary care to help provide effective rehabilitation, to maximise performance and to improve function.

As a member of ACPAT, most insurance companies will cover the cost of physiotherapy treatments.
